Julianne Jimenez, LCSW is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) with training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Minor Attracted (MAPs). Julianne offers specialized care to clients throughout New York via virtual telehealth appointments.

Connecting with others to navigate through grief and heal from emotional traumas has been Julianne's deep passion. In 2011, curiosity led her to attend a seminar on human sexuality, as well as sex and love addiction. This, along with Julianne's own experiences with trauma, led to a desire for a deeper understanding of its effects, which finally led her to pursue a master's degree in clinical social work focused on sex and porn addiction.

Julianne’s initial role in the field was at the Safe Center in New York where she provided support and education to female survivors of sexual violence. Her involvement deepened her passion for working with women, particularly around intimacy. Next, she held a role at the Kenneth Peters Center for Recovery, providing assistance to individuals dealing with alcoholism and substance abuse issues. It’s here that she discovered a deep compassion for individuals who are struggling with addiction. By fostering trust and safety and utilizing relational therapy, her goal became to facilitate personal growth and enhance self-awareness.

Julianne obtained her certification in sex addiction therapy through the Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals, where she became a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). She worked under Jennifer Acker, LCSW, CSAT-S who helped strengthen her use of relational therapy and expanded her knowledge of “Mother Hunger” and its effects.

As a certified Advanced Grief Recovery Method specialist, she skillfully guides clients through an 8-week program specifically designed to help heal unresolved relationships and losses.
